Meca, 11:15pm Tuesday

No embers
are falling on our house. not sure where that info came from. ASH has
been streaming this way late yesterday and this evening, no embers.
Ross & Marybeth drove over just now (10pm) to help us after they
read this blog info - and couldn't reach us as phone was tied up.
Alicia also just called to ask if we need help. best to confirm this
type of info as Ranchers are now sensitized to serious circumstances
and ready & willing to act. thanks for concern tho, Aurelea.
marvelous to see community responsiveness growing.

ps:
just went out again as Marybeth & Ross were leaving and we watched
large fire plumes and trailing fireballs spewing from a bench below the
West Rad Ridge line, east of the big rock outcrop. we agreed it looked
like a mini volcano cone. whoa... Yarrow's out watching it for awhile.
we could see red-glowing fire to west of it (the "Singley Fire"-morphed
to "Redwood Creek Canyon" fire that is on northwest flank of headwaters
across from Bob&Lynn's neighborhood). there is also another small
fire, to the east of the fire plumes described above, that developed
this afternoon due north of our house). Bob told us tonight that
Singley fire had flared up again. unlike other nights, it's 11:15 and
wind is still up.
