Linda, 11:25 pm Tuesday

Hi All,
I spoke with Lynn and Meca around 6 pm. They both sounded calm and in good spirits. They were/are at ground zero as far as the fire goes right now. I went up on
Windsong Ridge tonight and things looked better on the Singley Fire (now at or past Bob & Lynn's) and the West Radical Mountain Fire (coming down the mountain to Meca & Yarrow's & the Ranch House) than it has looked for the past 2 days. I'm sorry to say I can't see the East end (Radical Ridge end) of the Radical Mountain Fire from my vantage points . . . but I can say that I didn't see any enormous plumes like I did yesterday.
Can anyone say what's happening on Radical Ridge? Perhaps we'll hear in the morning.
All of us out here are wishing all of you on Radical Ridge the best while this fire passes hopefully around your homes.
Guy has been on the cat all day cutting fire breaks wherever he could. He came home exhausted but feeling very positive. So many wonderful people around. It's not time to cheer yet, but things definitely looked better tonight than last night.
The Running Springs/Montgomery Woods fire(s) are still threatening us over here, and I will be going up to take one last look for the night before going to bed. Others over here have seen flames from time to time during the day and this evening . . . but it still hasn't crested Durfey's mountain (or its northern flank) toward us and we do have Orr Springs Road between us and it. The mountain is not as huge as Radical Mountain, but we're still nervous.
The No Name Fire looks now to be in the vicinity of Leonard Lake . . . unless that's a different fire. It seems to be traveling mostly east but could become a problem to us if it heads more to the SE.
There have been many young people up here on the Ranch lending us old-timers a hand and working themselves to exhaustion. Many thank you to all.
Goodnight,
- Linda
