Hi All,
As of this morning, the fire still is slowly working towards the Peak 2 on the
ridge and towards Emrys's and making faster downhill progress to Jack Smith
Creek. No active firefighting or air support but dozers have put in firebreaks
from the roads to the creeks on P5 and P2 and CF is concentrating on protecting our homes due to lack of manpower. If the weather changes we could rapidly be in trouble. Thank God Mike Maynard is the fire captain and has given us more resources having grown up on Greenfield and a good friend of my boys. He predicts it will move down Jack Smith. Ridge firebreaks are improved. Without wind increases it might stall, but any hot windy day could spell disastor.
