Guy and I kept hearing a private plane circling around to the west of us so we went up to the ridge to see it anything was going on. Sure enough, a plume of smoke rose at a shallow angle to the south on the other side of the first ridge to the west. It's very windy out there right now so the smoke is blowing more horizontally than vertically. After a little while 3 copters showed up, 2 with buckets. I just heard a couple of bombers fly over low as I type. The firefighters are on it so hopefully they get it under control before evening.
I also heard from Paul yesterday that a few days ago a tree ignited at Will & Joe's place on Singley.
As Julie keeps telling us "Don't get complacent". It's not over yet.
