July 2, 2:40pm. Linda, Guy & i saw a small smoke plume. from my vantage point it was located below or west of Deborah & Ricardo's place on south flank of canyon. helicopter has been working it for last 20+ minutes. w/ binoculars i can see a yellow-suited person above the rock outcrops moving through burned chaparral on north flank. perhaps doing recon for possible remaining hotspots? no smoke visible now but copter is still working.
