Aurelea - I would like to pass along a very special moment that happened to my son, Vincent, during this past week. The Greenfield is the only home that he has ever known. As he saw the smoke drifting through the trees, the stress on the faces of those around him, his fear grew. One of his favorite people on the Ranch is Guy Gray. As we were watching Guy work his Cat, Diane,Guy stopped to talk to us and Ted Johnson. Then he took Vincent (8 yrs old) and invited him to drive the Diane. He explained the controls and then the two of them were off. After which on the way home, Vincent stated that he wants to learn how to really drive a big Cat like Diane, so he can protect the Ranch when he gets older, like Guy does. In that brief moment of time, Guy's big heart showed itself again and another future member of the Greenfield Volunteer Fire Brigade was born.
